The role requires strong hands-on expertise in test automation using Playwright and Java, along with the ability to drive automation strategy and ensure high-quality product delivery.You will be actively involved throughout the product development lifecycle — from requirement analysis and estimation to automated test development, CI/CD integration, and continuous quality improvement.Key Responsibilities- Analyze business requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios and automation strategies - Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks - Implement automated tests using Playwright, Java, Gherkin, and Cucumber - Drive test automation adoption and best practices across projects - Perform code reviews and ensure automation code quality and maintainability - Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines - Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers - Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, estimation, retrospectives) - Ensure accurate documentation of test cases, automation scripts, and test resultsMandatory Skills & Experience- 8–12 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation - Strong hands-on experience with Playwright - Strong proficiency in Java - Experience with Gherkin & Cucumber (BDD frameworks) - Strong understanding of automation framework design - Excellent code reading, debugging, and problem-solving skills - Experience writing clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code - Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, and Jenkins - Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Splunk - Solid understanding of CI/CD and test automation integrationGood to Have- Experience working on European projects (Germany preferred) - German language skills - Exposure to performance, security, or API automationSoft Skills- Passionate about quality engineering - Highly adaptable with a positive, can-do attitude - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work independently on complex testing initiativesDeliverables- Automated test cases and frameworks - High-quality automation code - Test documentation and reports
