Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design and simulation of ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV systems for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects. This role demands strong technical skills, hands-on experience with solar simulation tools (like PVsyst), and familiarity with Indian and international electrical standards. Key Responsibilities: Design solar PV systems (rooftop & ground-mounted) across LV & MV levels. Generate detailed design drawings and documentation including: AC & DC SLDs Cable routing and sizing Earthing and lightning protection layouts Shadow analysis and string configuration Panel layout and all relevant drawings Conduct solar simulations and energy yield assessments using tools like PVsyst and SketchUp . Prepare technical documentation for: DISCOM approvals EPC tendering Internal BOQs and procurement teams Support feasibility studies and cost–benefit analysis through performance modelling and LCOE calculations. Coordinate across design, procurement, execution, and O&M teams. Ensure compliance with: MNRE, DISCOM, and CEIG norms Relevant IS/IEC/NEC standards Provide technical assistance during installation, commissioning, and performance monitoring phases. Requirements: Educational Background B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Civil Engineering , Renewable Energy , or a related discipline from a recognized AICTE-approved institute. Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD PV simulation using PVsyst (minimum 1 year of hands-on use. Minimum of 1 years of experience in solar energy projects. Knowledge of Google SketchUp. Cable sizing, string configuration, grid integration principles Professional Attributes Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset Effective communication skills (written and verbal) Able to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams Capable of managing multiple projects with tight timelines
