The role requires a strong understanding of battery technology, customer application needs, and commercial structuring, with close coordination with engineering, product, and operations teams.This is a solution-led sales role, not a distributor or channel-only position, requiring the ability to translate technical battery specifications into clear customer value.Key ResponsibilitiesEV Battery Sales & Business DevelopmentDrive sales of EV battery packs and battery systems to OEMs, fleet operators, and integratorsOwn the full sales cycle from lead generation to order closureBuild and manage a strong pipeline across targeted EV segments (2W/3W/Bus/LCV/Truck as applicable)Engage early with customers during vehicle or platform development stagesTechnical & Commercial EngagementAct as the primary interface with customer engineering, sourcing, and commercial teamsUnderstand application requirements including energy, power, range, duty cycle, and thermal needsSupport discussions on cell chemistry, pack configuration, BMS features, safety, and lifecycleTranslate technical requirements into commercially viable battery solutionsPricing, Contracting & NegotiationLead commercial discussions covering pricing, volume commitments, delivery schedules, warranties, and performance guaranteesWork with internal teams to develop accurate cost-based pricing and margin visibilitySupport contract structuring including supply agreements and long-term partnershipsMarket & Competitor IntelligenceTrack EV market trends, customer roadmaps, and competitive offeringsMonitor pricing, technology shifts, and sourcing strategies of competitorsProvide structured feedback to product and leadership teamsCross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with product, engineering, sourcing, quality, and operations teamsEnsure smooth handover from sales to production and supply chain teams post-orderSupport customers during initial SOP and ramp-up phasesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical preferred)6–12 years of experience in EV, battery, EV automotive components industriesPrior experience selling batteries, power electronics, or critical EV subsystems preferredExposure to OEM sales processes and long-term supply contractsRequired Technical UnderstandingLithium-ion battery technologies (LFP / NMC), performance and lifecycleBattery pack architecture, BMS basics, and safety considerationsVehicle application requirements and validation expectationsWarranty, degradation, and field performance conceptsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong techno-commercial selling abilityExperience working with OEM engineering and sourcing teamsStructured negotiation and contract management skillsAbility to work in fast-evolving and competitive marketsHigh ownership mindset with focus on long-term customer relationships
