The ideal candidate will be an expert in DAX for advanced calculations, have strong SQL proficiency for data querying and manipulation, and possess experience in building and preparing Power BI dashboards. This role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, designing data models, and delivering high-impact visualizations that drive decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize key business metrics and trends.Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to analyze, reverse-engineer, and rebuild existing dashboards with accuracy and optimization in mind. Create complex data models and perform data transformations using Power Query.Write advanced DAX formulas, measures, and calculated columns to support sophisticated analysis and calculations.Extract, clean, and integrate data from various sources using strong SQL skills (e.g., writing optimized queries, joins, and aggregations).Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure reports meet user needs.Optimize report performance, implement row-level security, and ensure data accuracy and governance.Conduct data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for process improvement.Maintain and update existing Power BI solutions, troubleshooting issues as they arise.Required Qualifications and SkillsProven experience as a Power BI Analyst, Developer, or similar role (3+ years preferred).Expert-level proficiency in DAX including creating advanced measures, time intelligence functions, and context-aware calculations.Strong proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases, data extraction, and manipulation (e.g., complex joins, subqueries, and performance tuning).Hands-on experience preparing and developing interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization best practices.Familiarity with Power BI Service for publishing, sharing, and managing reports.Preferred QualificationsAny exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cosmos DB) or other non-relational data sources is a big plus.Experience with additional tools such as Power Query (M language), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), or Azure data services.Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar certification.
