Job Title HR Generalist Mumbai based Only Location: Mumbai Experience: 9–13 Years Role Summary The HR Generalist will manage end-to-end HR operations post Talent Acquisition, ensuring smooth employee lifecycle management, statutory compliance, audit readiness, vendor coordination, and client-facing HR support. This is an individual contributor role requiring hands-on ownership across all HR sub-functions in a growing organization. Open to work mostly as Individual contributor Key Responsibilities Core HR Operations Manage complete employee lifecycle: onboarding governance, confirmations, transfers, promotions, performance reviews, and exits Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and POSH compliance Drive induction, retention, learning & development, and engagement initiatives Implement and manage performance management and appraisal cycles Support compensation processes including increments, bonuses, and benefits administration Compliance & Audit Ensure statutory compliance and adherence to HR policies and labor laws Support internal and external audits including SOX Maintain audit-ready HR documentation, controls, and records Manage employee background verification (BGV) processes Vendor & Stakeholder Management Manage HR vendors: payroll, BGV, insurance, training partners, and consultants Act as the HR point of contact for business leaders and external clients Handle post-TA HR activities and coordination with internal stakeholders Reporting & Process Improvement Prepare HR MIS reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation Drive HR process improvements aligned with business growth Support retention strategies and organizational culture initiatives Required candidates Profile MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent 9–13 years of HR experience in startups or small-to-mid-sized Softwar e / KPO / LPO organizations Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience in HR Generalist / HR Operations roles Solid knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR audits Prior exposure to SOX audits preferred but not a must Experience in vendor management and client-facing HR roles Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive matters Mandatory Requirements Diversity candidate prefered Based in Mumbai Excellent communication skills Pleasing personality, assertive, self-motivated, and ambitious Proven track record of growing with an organization Must have worked across all HR sub-functions Willing to work as an Individual Contributor and take initiative and shoulder responsibilities to target oriented Strong experience in HR audits and employee BGV contact if u meet the requirement
