Job Title: Manager / Senior Manager – Engagement & Event ManagementJob Type: Full-timeReporting to: Deputy General Manager - Student Success & EngagementDepartment: Student Success & EngagementLocation:Bangalore/HyderabadRole Overview: The Manager / Senior Manager Learner Engagement will be responsible for leading co-curricular and extra curricular events that enhance student engagement, and overall satisfaction across online programmes at BITS Pilani Digital. The role focuses on monitoring academic and behavioural indicators, implementing proactive engagement strategies, organising well being and mental health–focused interventions, managing early-intervention mechanisms, and collaborating with academic and operational teams to strengthen student engagement.Principal Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesStudent Engagement & Intervention Programs• Design and implement a wide range of learner engagement events (expert sessions, tutorials, peer study circles, interest groups, virtual events, co-/extra-curricular activities).• Drive initiatives that foster community-building, strengthen learner motivation, and promote active participation across programmes.• Identify and map national and international opportunities (competitions, conferences, symposiums, hackathons, forums) for learner visibility, collaboration, and exposure.• Coordinate with external partners, universities, industry bodies, third-party companies, and vendors to conceptualize, curate, and deliver engagement initiatives at scale.• Ensure end-to-end ownership of engagement programs including planning, scheduling,coordination, vendor management, execution, communication, follow-up, and post-eventevaluation.• Ensure targeted and timely learner communication via emailers, WhatsApp, and LMSannouncements to maximize engagement and attendance.Campus Connect & Institutional Collaboration• Build and maintain structured engagement channels with BITS Pilani on-campus teams, includingstudent clubs, departments, and event committees across Pilani, Hyderabad & Goa campuses.• Track campus-level events and activities throughout the year and create pathways for online learners to participate—either virtually or by facilitating select in-person opportunities, wherever feasible.• Represent the Digital division in campus coordination meetings and align Digital learner engagement initiatives with broader BITS events, festivals, competitions, cultural activities, and academic forums.• Partner with campuses to co-create cross-campus engagement experiences, ensuring online learners remain connected to the wider BITS ecosystem and culture.Data-Driven Insights & Reporting• Consolidate and analyze engagement, participation, and behavioural data to generate dashboards and insights. Identify participation gaps, and learner sentiment trends. Present findings, red flags, and recommendations during leadership reviews, enabling evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration• Collaborate closely with academic teams, operations, faculty coordinators, instructional design, data analytics, learner support, and technology teams to embed engagement pathways across the student lifecycle. Ensure smooth execution of initiatives while continuously refining engagement frameworks based on learner feedback, data insights, and evolving programme needs.Skill and Ability Requirements• Engagement: Ability to conceptualize and execute scalable student engagement, co-/extracurricular initiatives, including collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.• Technology Proficiency: Hands-on experience with LMS platforms, CRM systems, learninganalytics dashboards, and communication tools for monitoring and driving student engagement.• Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillswith the ability to influence, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams and partners.• Stakeholder & Event Management: Strong organizational and project management capabilitiesfor end-to-end execution of learner engagement programs, events, and interventions.• Learner-Centric Mindset: High degree of empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment toenhancing learner experience and success in an online education environment.Qualification & Experience• Graduate / Post graduate in any stream.• 11–13 years of overall experience, with at least 4–5 years in event management roles within reputable organizations such as industry chambers (CII, FICCI, NASSCOM, SHRM), media groups (Times of India, Economic Times, India Today, etc.), or leading event management companies that have executed both online and offline events.• Prior experience in customer engagement, communications, and cross-functional coordination will be an added advantage.
