We’re Hiring | BIW Design EngineerLocation: ChennaiExperience: 5 to 8 YearsSkill Set- Proficient in CATIA V5 (GSD, Sheet Metal, Part, Assembly & Drawing Workbenches) - Experience with Teamcenter and VisMockup️ Domain Knowledge- BIW Design experience in Underbody / Front End Structures - Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, stamping and assembly sequences (BIW & Closures) - Experience in AL-PL layout, Master Sections, Vehicle Integration & Packaging - Knowledge of Regulations & Homologation requirements - Strong hands-on experience in GD&T - Familiarity with WERS, GPDS & DPA 0/1 assessments (E2KS)Job Description- Contribute to concept development, VA–VE and innovative design proposals - Support Body Engineering CAD design for Underbody in PV & CV programs - Define and implement joining strategies (Spot Welding, MIG Welding, etc.) - Ensure compliance with BIW attributes, quality targets, cost, weight & timing - Coordinate with Manufacturing for assembly feasibility and mass production - Interface with CAE teams to meet Regulatory, Safety, NVH, Deflection & Fatigue requirements - Ensure proper interfaces, clearances and compliance with DPA standards - Participate in engineering reviews and cross-functional integration - Interpret DFMEA, DVP&R and GD&T to improve design qualityInterested candidates, share your CV at:siva.saikumar@
