Job Description: Data Engineering - Power BI Developer / SpecialistRole Overview:We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in buildingand optimizing Power BI semantic models, creating high-performing reports anddashboards, and providing DAX and data validation support. The ideal candidate willhave hands-on experience with Power BI Service, AI-driven tools such as Copilot, andMicrosoft Fabric features. Strong communication skills and functional understanding ofbusiness requirements are essential.Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models for efficient reportingand analytics.• Optimize report performance, ensuring scalability, speed, and usability.• Develop, test, and maintain advanced DAX measures and calculated columns.• Troubleshoot and resolve DAX-related issues raised by business users.• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translatethem into functional BI solutions.• Validate data accuracy by writing and executing SQL queries to comparebackend data with Power BI reports.• Manage and deploy reports/dashboards in Power BI Service, includingworkspaces, security, and RLS.• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and Fabric features to enhance BIsolutions.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and driveinformed decision-making.• Provide user support, training, and documentation for delivered reports anddashboards.Required Skills• Excellent knowledge of Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service.• Strong experience in semantic modeling, DAX, and performanceoptimization.• Good understanding of functional/business requirements and ability totranslate them into BI solutions.• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend analysis.• Familiarity with AI-driven tools (Copilot) and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex BI challenges.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Prior experience in resolving user issues related to DAX or report functionality.• Experience with large datasets and performance tuning strategies.• Exposure to data modeling best practices and data governance.• Knowledge of ETL processes and integration with Power BI.
