Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the officeLead Specialist – InvestmentsFund AdministrationWe will count on you for:- Review financial statements, expense payments and monitoring. - Oversee overdraft reporting and support client audits and related annual Form 5500 filings. - Provides financial and operational oversight for fund accounting. - Responsibility for completing daily, monthly, and ad hoc processes in support of overall team - Collaborate with internal stakeholders including but not limited to: Client Service and Operations - Supports fund administration related activities including expense payments, financial reporting, dividend calculations, regulatory requirements and tax filings. - Coordinates and supports client audits and related Form 5500 filings. - Uses analytical skills to prevent/identify potential issues. - Reviews and supports financial statements preparation and audits.What you need to have:- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience overall - Commerce graduate or master’s degree in finance - A experience in 401(k) administration in operations - Mutual Fund administration experience; familiarity with transfer agent, custodian, fund accounting, and client services functions. - Knowledge of employee benefit plans and Form 5500 filings - Independent problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Self-starter, possessing willingness to learn. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word - Exposure to Global Capital Markets and working knowledge of various Asset Classes and Investment Strategies and performance attribution - Problem solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment, ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up to date - Ability to work and perform under strict deadlines and quick turnaround projects - Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, business communication, and time management skillsWhat makes you stand out?- Previous experience with 401(k) record keeping - 401(k) compliance experience related to plan document review and analysis, including pre-approved documents and individually designed documents - Familiarity with Defined Contribution Plans - Strong organizational skills, clear and effective communication, both written and oral; ability to multi-task - Adaptable communicator, facilitator, influencer and problem solver - High attention to detail - Ability to perform under pressure and strict timelinesWhy join our team:- We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders. - We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities. - Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan MMC), is a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people.
