Job Description

Role: Carbon black Shift In-charge Location: Naidupet, Andhra Pradesh Greenfield Project in APIIC Industrial Area, Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh Plant Production Volume: 120 KTPA in Phase-1 and 240 KTPA in Phase-2 Mandatory Expereince in Carbon Black manufacturing process Job purpose: - Production and Process monitoring - Ensure Safe and continuous operation of carbon black manufacturing during the shifts. - Leading the operation team. - Resolving operational Issues. - Achieving targeted production volumes by keeping quality in range. - Optimizing resource utilization, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. - Supporting Continuous improvement initiatives. KRAs - - Ensure smooth, safe, and uninterrupted operation of the carbon black plant during the assigned shift to achieve production and yield targets. - Monitor critical process parameters and take corrective actions to maintain product quality within specifications. - Enforce plant safety protocols, PTW (Permit-to-Work) systems, and statutory compliance to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workplace. - Handling wastes in line with environmental standards and regulatory requirements - Controlling raw materials input and process parameters for optimum yield and productivity - Continuous improvement and ‘cost reduction’ initiatives – Both Opex and Capex - Accounting raw materials consumption accurately and preventing variance - Lead, guide, and allocate responsibilities to operators and contract workforce, ensuring effective manpower utilization. - Identify operational issues and coordinate with maintenance and utility teams for timely resolution of breakdowns and emergencies. - Prepare shift reports. - maintain production and incident logs, and ensure accurate MIS documentation. - Act as the responsible in-charge for handling shutdowns, startups, and emergency situations during the shifts.
