Role & responsibilities - Provide immediate medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, and medical emergencies. - Perform rapid assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of emergency cases. - Manage critical care procedures including intubation, resuscitation, trauma management, and cardiac life support. - Coordinate with specialists, nursing staff, and paramedics for optimal patient outcomes. - Handle medico-legal cases and ensure proper documentation. - Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH standards, and emergency care guidelines. - Supervise junior doctors, residents, and emergency staff during shifts. - Participate in emergency drills, audits, and continuous medical education (CME). - Communicate effectively with patients relatives regarding treatment plans and prognosis. Preferred candidate profile - Qualified MEM (Master in Emergency Medicine) - Valid Medical Council registration (NMC / State Medical Council) - Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments - Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills - Willingness to work in shifts (day/night)
