You will collaborate closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other specialists to provide a holistic approach to child health. The role also demands efficiency in managing acute and chronic illnesses, offering preventive care, and guiding parents or guardians through treatment plans with clarity and reassurance. Requirements Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive paediatric consultations for infants, children, and adolescents in both OPD and IPD environments. - Diagnose and treat a variety of paediatric illnesses, infections, injuries, and developmental conditions with evidence-based medical practices. - Offer preventive healthcare services including immunizations, growth monitoring, and routine check-ups. - Manage paediatric emergencies and coordinate care for critically ill children. - Handle NICU cases as required, including attending high-risk deliveries, providing neonatal resuscitation, and delivering specialized care to premature or medically fragile newborns. - Develop personalized treatment plans and ensure effective follow-up for ongoing conditions. - Communicate empathetically and clearly with parents or guardians about diagnoses, treatment options, medical procedures, and recovery expectations. - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in line with clinical protocols and regulatory guidelines. - Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery. - Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital programs aimed at enhancing paediatric care outcomes. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in paediatrics, neonatology, and child healthcare. Skills & Competencies - Strong clinical expertise in paediatrics, neonatology, and child development. - Experience with NICU operations, neonatal emergencies, and critical newborn care. - Ability to handle OPD and IPD responsibilities independently and efficiently. - Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with young patients and their families. - Compassionate, patient-centric approach with high emotional intelligence. - Proficient in emergency paediatric care including stabilization, resuscitation, and acute management. - Effective communication and teamwork skills. - Commitment to ethical medical practice and continuous learning. Qualifications - MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics from a recognized institution. - Valid medical license/registration as per state regulations. - Experience: 1–10 years in paediatrics, neonatology, or related clinical settings.
