Location: Bengaluru (On-site) Department: SURGE Duration: 3–6 months or more. Commitment Level: Full-time Internship This is not a regular internship. This is for the ones who want their code to touch the real world. If you like building things that don’t exist yet, questioning assumptions, and working on problems that don’t have neat answers, you’ll feel at home here. What you’ll actually do here You won’t be given a step-by-step task list. Instead, you’ll be given real systems , real data, and real questions. Things like: Can we make sense of noisy, imperfect data from the real world? Can we teach systems to “understand” change, risk, and future behaviour patterns? Can we build a system that warns humans before things go wrong? You’ll help turn raw, messy signals into patterns, trends, and foresight . The kind of problems that excite us (and might excite you) You might work on questions like: How do you predict what a complex natural system might do before it happens? How would you work on a problem or solve a data gap problem? How do you know when data is Malformed, incomplete, or uncertain ? How do you show invisible risks in a way humans can understand? How do you turn charts and numbers into clear, real-world decisions ? These are not toy problems. These are problems people struggle with in real systems. What makes this internship different You will: Work with real data from the physical world Build models, simulations, Mathematical modelling and logic from scratch Be allowed to experiment, fail, redesign, and try again Own meaningful parts of real projects Leave with work you can proudly show in your portfolio Who thrives here You’ll love this role if you: Like hard problems more than easy wins Get curious when things don’t behave as expected Want to mix logic, creativity, intuition, and math(transforms, calculus) Are okay with not knowing everything on day one Skills that help (not strictly required) Python for scientific computing (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn) Comfort with statistics, probability, and ML modelling concepts Exposure to dynamic system modelling, or simulations, is a plus Ready to learn or know how to do various “Data and Model” test and validation methods. Curiosity about environmental/physical systems (no prior domain expertise required) Discipline to think, build, test, and improve Your strong problem-structuring and research mindset matter more than your resume.
