We are looking for a Lawyer for Direct Tax Practice for our client, a Law Firm, based in Delhi. Role & Responsibilities The selected candidate will be part of the Direct Tax practice and will be involved in a broad range of advisory and litigation work, including: Advising clients on direct tax matters , including income tax, international taxation, and withholding tax issues Tax structuring and advisory for corporate transactions, M&A, private equity, and fund structures Handling tax litigation before appellate authorities, High Courts, and tribunals Drafting and reviewing legal opinions, submissions, appeals, and representations Assisting in tax due diligence for transactions Interacting with tax authorities and coordinating on assessments and proceedings Supporting partners and senior team members on complex, high-value matters Eligibility & Qualifications Law degree from a recognized university in India 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in Direct Tax Prior experience with a reputed law firm, tax boutique, or Big 4 preferred Strong understanding of the Income-tax Act, international tax principles, and judicial precedents Experience in tax litigation and advisory is essential Key Skills & Attributes Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters Commercial awareness and solution-oriented approach Good communication and client-handling skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
