Job Summary:As a Sr. Functional Consultant for D365 F&O, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and customization of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations modules. This role involves close collaboration with clients to gather business requirements, configure the system, conduct testing, provide training, and ensure a successful go-live and post-go-live support. The consultant will also be involved in continuous skill enhancement and knowledge sharing within the team.Key Responsibilities:Customer Interaction & Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with clients to understand their needs and expectations.Serve as the primary point of contact for functional aspects of the project.System Requirement Study (SRS) Discussion:Conduct discussions to understand the client’s current business processes (as-is) and document their requirements for the D365 F&O implementation.Functional Requirement Document (FRD) Creation & Sign-Off:Develop a comprehensive Functional Requirement Document (FRD) that outlines the client’s business needs, the standard functionality available in D365 F&O, and any gaps.Conduct a GAP fit analysis and obtain client approval on the FRD.Setup & Configuration of D365 F&O Systems:Configure the D365 F&O modules based on the client’s specific requirements as outlined in the FRD.Prototype Testing Against FRD:Perform testing of the configured system to ensure it aligns with the functional requirements specified in the FRD.Functional Requirement Customization Explanation:Collaborate with Technical Consultants to explain the necessary customizations required to meet the client’s functional needs.User Training:Develop and deliver training sessions to end-users, ensuring they understand how to use the system effectively.Master Creation, Update & Opening Balance Upload:Assist in the creation and updating of master data, and the upload of opening balances into the D365 F&O system.User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Sign-Off:Coordinate and support UAT sessions with key users, ensuring the system meets all business requirements.Obtain sign-off from the client upon successful completion of UAT.Go Live & Post Go Live Support:Oversee the go-live process to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.Provide post-go-live support to address any issues or additional requirements.Project Status Update to Project Manager (PM):Regularly update the Project Manager on the status of the project, including milestones achieved, challenges faced, and next steps.Participation in Internal Trainings & Self Skill Enhancement:Actively participate in internal training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on new features and best practices in D365 F&O.Engage in continuous self-learning to improve functional and technical expertise.Soft Skills:Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and clients.Adaptability and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.Work Environment:May require travel to client sites.Flexibility to work remotely or on-site depending on project requirements.
