Job Title: Roads SurveyorLocation: LiberiaJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Roads Surveyor to provide accurate surveying, alignment verification, and roadway layout support for road construction and rehabilitation projects. The Roads Surveyor will be responsible for conducting precise topographic, alignment, and setting-out surveys, processing data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.Key Responsibilities:Conduct road alignment, cross-section, longitudinal profile, and topographic surveys using total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment.Perform setting out for roads, pavements, drainage networks, culverts, and related infrastructure.Establish and verify horizontal and vertical control points required for road construction works.Analyze survey data and prepare drawings, cross-sections, and digital terrain models (DTMs) using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Generate road profiles, contour maps, and corridor models to support engineering design and construction activities.Collaborate closely with civil engineers, road designers, and construction teams to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with design specifications.Monitor and verify roadworks such as grading, subgrade levels, base course, and asphalt layers.Maintain accurate survey records, daily reports, and survey logs.Ensure compliance with local and international surveying standards and project requirements.Review design drawings and report discrepancies related to road alignment or levels.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.10 years of experience as a Surveyor, with proven experience in road construction projects.Strong proficiency in surveying instruments (GPS, total station, levels) and software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS tools.Hands-on experience in preparing DTMs, road corridors, alignment design, and cross-sections.Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Good knowledge of highway construction processes and surveying requirements.Strong communication and teamwork skills.
