The consultant will work closely with the Solution Architect, client stakeholders, and governance teams to deliver actionable governance frameworks, technical configurations, and operational playbooks.Key Responsibilities: Microsoft Purview Setup & Configuration Register and scan data sources (Azure SQL, ADLS, Synapse, Fabric workspaces). ConfigureUnified Catalogdomains and data products. Enabledata lineagefor pipelines and validate lineage completeness. ImplementRBACand role group configurations for governance roles. Set upReports/Health dashboardsand automate governance monitoring. Microsoft Fabric Integration Connect and configureMicrosoft Fabric tenantfor governance readiness. Design and implementworkspace RBACand steward permissions. IntegratePurview workflows with Fabric tasksfor automated data access approvals. Configure governance forOneLake ,Lakehouse ,Warehouse ,Dataflows , andPower BI artifacts . Implementshortcuts and mirroring governancefor unified data access. Monitor governance posture usingPurview Huband Fabric governance insights. Workflow Automation Build automated flows for access requests, approvals, and notifications usingPower Automate . Develop issue triage and remediation workflows with audit trails (Purview-managed and SPO + Power Automate variants).Required Skills & Experience: Technical Expertise Strong hands-on experience withMicrosoft Purview(Unified Catalog, Data Map, RBAC, lineage). Proven expertise inMicrosoft Fabric : OneLake governance and cataloging. Lakehouse and Warehouse configuration. Power BI governance and integration with Purview. Workspace RBAC and security best practices. Experience withAzure Data Services(Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS). Proficiency inPower Automateand workflow automation. Governance & Compliance Understanding of data governance principles, sensitivity labelling, DLP policies, and compliance frameworks. Soft Skills Excellent communication and documentation skills.
