Location: Hyderabad, IndiaCurriculum: International Baccalaureate (IB) – PYP / MYPSchool Type: International SchoolPosition: Full-time (Preferably a 2-year contract)Role OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and internationally minded Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our IB school community in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will bring strong pedagogical skills, a passion for student physical fitness, nutrition and well-being, and experience working in multicultural, inquiry-based learning environments.Applications are encouraged from international candidates.Preference will be given to candidates willing to commit to a 2-year contract.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning●Deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with IB PYP/MYP frameworks.●Foster physical literacy, teamwork, sportsmanship, and holistic wellness among students.●Design engaging units of inquiry that integrate movement, fitness, and sport skills.●Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.●Implement age-appropriate safety guidelines and risk assessments during activities.Curriculum & Assessment●Contribute to the planning, development, and review of PE curricular plans within the IB framework●Use a variety of formative and summative assessment tools to evaluate student progress.●Maintain accurate student records and provide meaningful feedback to learners and parents.●Support the integration of ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills and international-mindedness.Co-Curricular Involvement●Lead and support school sports teams, after-school clubs, and inter-house competitions.●Organize sports days, fitness challenges, and wellness events throughout the year.●Encourage participation in local and international tournaments where applicable.Professional Collaboration●Work collaboratively with homeroom and specialist teachers.●Participate in faculty meetings, IB training, and continuous professional development.●Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and the school leadership team.Qualifications & Experience●Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.●Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school setting.●Prior experience with IB PYP and/or MYP curriculum (preferred).●Strong command of English (spoken and written).●Experience coaching one or more competitive sports (advantageous).●Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.Skills & Attributes●Passion for student health, fitness, and overall development.●Excellent interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.●Adaptable, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional growth.●Culturally sensitive with an international mindset.●Ability to inspire and motivate students of varied backgrounds.Additional Information●Preference for candidates willing to commit to a 2-year contract.●Relocation support may be available for international candidates.●Housing and medical insurance may be available for international candidates.
