The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing production MySQL environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of database systems.Key Responsibilities- Manage and support production MySQL databases (MySQL / Percona / MariaDB) - Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations - Handle backup & recovery, including PITR, replication, clustering, and HA setups - Perform query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning - Monitor database health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, PMM, or Datadog - Automate regular DBA and maintenance activities using Ansible or Puppet - Troubleshoot database and infrastructure-related issues - Work closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams - Prepare and maintain technical documentation and runbooks - Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to continuous process improvement
