The role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards, customer-specific requirements, regulatory norms, and internal company objectives. This position plays a key role in driving quality culture, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across the plant.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesQMS Development & Maintenance- Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 requirements. - Ensure all QMS processes are effectively defined, implemented, monitored, and continually improved. - Maintain QMS documentation including manuals, SOPs, procedures, formats, and records. - Liaise with process owners for document control, revisions, and version management.Audits & Compliance- Plan and conduct internal quality audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities (NCs). - Coordinate with certification bodies for external, surveillance, and recertification audits. - Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, statutory, and regulatory standards. - Ensure adherence to EHS and compliance requirements during QMS activities.Quality Performance & Improvement- Monitor key quality performance indicators such as customer complaints, rejection rates, audit findings, and process performance. - Maintain QMS dashboards and report quality trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to management. - Benchmark best quality practices and recommend system improvements to enhance compliance and effectiveness.Corrective & Preventive Actions- Lead root cause analysis and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues. - Ensure structured problem-solving methodologies are followed and actions are sustained.Customer & Supplier Quality- Ensure proper handling and analysis of customer complaints, warranty issues, and feedback. - Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure adherence to quality standards and system requirements.Training & Management Review- Conduct QMS awareness and training programs across departments to strengthen quality culture. - Drive Management Review Meetings (MRM) and ensure implementation and tracking of action plans.Cross-Functional Support- Support cross-functional teams in APQP, PPAP, and continual improvement initiatives. - Manage calibration and verification of measuring instruments and monitoring equipment.Certifications & Competencies- Certified Lead Auditor – ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 (preferred). - Strong knowledge of QMS standards, audit processes, and quality tools. - Excellent analytical, coordination, documentation, and communication skills. - Ability to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
