(Mandatory)Post-Graduate qualification in Supply Chain Management (MBA / PGDM / equivalent – Mandatory)Experience15+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Logistics within the manufacturing sector.Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale road and rail logistics operations.Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder industrial environments.Exposure to high-volume, asset-intensive industries (steel, metals, cement, power, heavy engineering) preferred.Key Accountabilities:Drive end-to-end logistics operations across road and rail for inbound, outbound, and inter-unit movements.Translate SCM priorities into robust logistics execution plans, ensuring cost, service, and safety objectives are consistently met.Lead freight strategy, transporter development, contract negotiations, and performance governance.Own railway coordination, rake planning, route optimization, and multimodal logistics efficiency.Partner closely with manufacturing, projects, sales, commercial, and finance teams to enable uninterrupted operations.Play an active role in capacity planning, disruption management, and contingency readiness.Strengthen process discipline, digitization initiatives, and continuous improvement within logistics.Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to senior logistics teams, building long-term functional capability.Ensure full compliance with statutory, safety, and regulatory requirements governing transportation and logistics.What We’re Looking ForStrong commercial acumen and understanding of logistics cost driversAbility to operate with strategic perspective and execution rigorHigh level of ownership, judgment, and operational maturityConfident stakeholder management across internal leadership and external partnersLeadership presence with the ability to influence outcomes without formal escalation
