Job Description

Job DescriptionResponsible for analyzing remotely acquired data and data from various sources to expertly troubleshoot locomotives and on-board services within a dedicated team environment (7x24 Operation). Acquire key parameter, fault, and incident data and utilize software tools to formulate troubleshooting recommendations. Collaborate with global colleagues and directly engage with Ops/Maintenance and field teams to ensure understanding of recommendations and identification of other service opportunities. Assist Loco Pilot and field personnel in troubleshooting Wabtec Locomotives & on-board Services via telephone and generate incident tickets. Collaborate with Ops & Fleet Manager to assist Loco Pilot and field personnel in troubleshooting Wabtec Locomotives & on-board Services via telephone/with the remote team. Collaborate with Ops & Maintenance Manager in troubleshooting Wabtec Locomotives and provide advanced/proactive locomotive information. Identify and assist in the execution of opportunities for productivity and performance enhancements. Assist with various reliability projects as necessary in support of the business. Desired Characteristics: Technical experience working on rolling stock products such as Engines, Bogies, Brake Systems, Traction Motors, Control Systems, etc. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot faults in Locomotive running and oversee specific job works. Comfortable learning and adopting IT systems/tools for monitoring & troubleshooting Wabtec Locomotives. Ability to promote safe and environmentally compliant work practices. Good verbal and written skills in Hindi and English. Willingness to work extra hours when requested. Qualifications/Requirements: BE/B. Tech in Engineering or Diploma applicable technical training with minimum 5 years’ applicable operations experience in maintenance of Locomotives, and/or transportation/rolling stock equipment. Willingness to work in 24x7 operations with different shifts on various days. Experience in Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience in the transportation/rolling stock industry.
