Job Description

1. Teaching and Education: Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in forensic medicine for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Prepare and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools in alignment with the curriculum. Supervise students during practicals, clinical case discussions, and autopsy demonstrations. Mentor students on academic and professional development, including research projects. 2. Research and Scholarly Activities: Conduct and publish original research in peer-reviewed journals in the field of forensic medicine. Encourage and guide students in their research initiatives. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on forensic and medico-legal research projects. 3. Medico-Legal Work: Assist in medico-legal autopsies and provide expert opinions when required by law enforcement or judicial authorities. Support hospital medico-legal documentation, including wound certification and injury analysis. 4. Administrative Duties: Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, and accreditation activities. Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes. Assist in organizing conferences, workshops, and seminars related to forensic medicine. 5. Community Service and Outreach: Promote awareness and education on forensic medicine and medico-legal issues in the community. Offer training and consultation for law enforcement, legal professionals, and healthcare providers. Qualifications and Requirements: Educational Background: MD in Forensic Medicine or an equivalent recognized qualification. Experience: Prior teaching experience in medical colleges or academic institutions is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of forensic pathology, toxicology, and medico-legal procedures. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in handling medico-legal documents and reports. Registration: Must be registered with the Medical Council of India or relevant state medical council.
