Senior Electrical Engineer – Project Execution (Data Center)Experience: 4–10 yearsIndustry: Data Center / Mission-Critical / Industrial InfrastructureJob SummaryThe Electrical Engineer – Project Execution is responsible for end-to-end execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in data center and mission-critical environments, ensuring high availability, redundancy, safety, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Site ManagementExecute electrical works in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.Coordinate with civil, mechanical, BMS, fire, and IT teams for integrated execution.Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.Track daily progress and support project planning and reporting.Electrical Systems ImplementationInstallation and commissioning of:HT/LT panels, Transformers, RMUsUPS systems (static, modular), Battery banksDiesel Generators (DG), Synchronization panelsBus ducts, LT cabling, earthing & lightning protectionPDU, RPP, and power distribution systemsEnsure proper system redundancy (N, N+1, 2N) as per design.Testing & CommissioningLead or support pre-commissioning, testing, and integrated systems testing (IST).Coordinate FAT, SAT, and third-party inspections.Validate protection settings, load tests, and power failover scenarios.Support reliability and uptime requirements.Quality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with IS, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NBC, and local authority regulations.Implement QA/QC procedures and maintain inspection & test records.Enforce site safety practices and permit-to-work systems.Documentation & HandoverPrepare and review as-built drawings, test reports, and O&M manuals.Support project handover to operations and facility management teams.Provide technical support during DLP and initial operations phase.Mandatory Skills & Technical ExpertiseStrong experience in data center or mission-critical electrical projectsHands-on knowledge of:UPS, DG, Transformers, SwitchgearPower distribution & protection systemsEarthing and lightning protectionUnderstanding of redundancy architectures and reliability conceptsExperience coordinating with OEMs, PMCs, and clientsTools & SystemsAutoCAD (electrical drawings review)MS Excel, MS ProjectExposure to EPMS / BMS / DCIM integration (preferred)Soft SkillsStrong coordination and stakeholder management skillsProblem-solving and troubleshooting mindsetAbility to work under tight timelines in critical environmentsClear communication and documentation skillsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringCertifications in Electrical Safety / Data Center / Project Management (preferred)Preferred ExperienceTier III / Tier IV Data Center projectsEPC / PMC / Client-side project exposureLarge-scale, high-availability infrastructure projects
