From celebrity news to pop culture moments, Pinkvilla shapes how millions of Indians consume entertainment every day - through credible, engaging, and trend-led storytelling across formats.Pinkvilla is a Flipkart Group Company.Location: Mumbai / Remote (India)Experience: 2–6 years (flexible based on fit)Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a high-energy Community Manager to build and scale a thriving community for our app by identifying, onboarding, and managing creators and power users, while also building strong adoption across colleges and institutes through a structured campus community program.This role will own the end-to-end community journey—acquisition → onboarding → engagement → retention → advocacy—and work closely with Product, Growth, and Marketing teams to create a community that is active, safe, and fast-growing.Key Responsibilities1) Creator & Power User Acquisition- Identify and onboard creators, micro-influencers, niche experts, and power users aligned with the app’s categories. - Build creator pipelines using platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Discord, Telegram, and relevant communities. - Pitch the app’s value proposition and drive creator sign-ups with clear onboarding pathways. - Build a scalable weekly/monthly creator onboarding process.2) Creator Onboarding & Success- Own creator onboarding end-to-end: profile setup, walkthroughs, content guidelines, and launch support. - Help creators succeed by advising on: - content formats and frequency - engagement best practices - growth tactics inside the app - Build onboarding resources such as starter kits, FAQs, templates, and playbooks. - Track creator performance and run initiatives to improve creator retention and output.3) Community Engagement & Retention- Drive daily/weekly engagement through: - challenges, contests, and campaigns - community discussions and prompts - AMAs, live sessions, and spotlight features - Strengthen retention by building community rituals and recognition programs. - Develop strategies to improve: - repeat usage - participation - conversations and interactions - referrals/invites4) College & Institute Community Building (Campus Growth)- Build and scale a student community network across colleges, universities, and institutes. - Identify and onboard Campus Ambassadors / Student Leaders to represent the app on campus. - Partner with college bodies like: - clubs and societies - fest committees - cultural groups - entrepreneurship cells - placement and student councils - Plan and execute on-ground + online activations, including: - campus challenges and competitions - workshops/masterclasses - meetups and community sessions - creator hunts and recruitment drives - campus event collaborations - Design and manage a structured Campus Ambassador Program with: - onboarding & training - weekly targets - incentives and rewards (certificates, stipends, merch, internships, access) - Track campus performance and build a repeatable campus rollout playbook.5) Community Moderation & Safety- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe community environment. - Implement community guidelines and handle violations professionally. - Identify and reduce spam, abuse, and harmful behavior. - Escalate critical issues to internal teams when required.6) Feedback Loop & Product Collaboration- Act as the voice of the community by collecting insights, pain points, and feature requests. - Coordinate with Product/Tech teams to improve community experience and reduce friction. - Run surveys, polls, and feedback sessions with creators and student communities.7) Community Operations & Reporting- Maintain creator and campus databases (CRM/Sheets/Notion). - Track and report weekly/monthly metrics like: - creators onboarded - active creators and power users - engagement rate per post/activity - retention (D7/D30) - campus adoption metrics - Build scalable systems and processes as the community grows.Skills & Qualifications- 2–6 years experience in community building, creator management, social media, campus marketing, or growth - Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills - Experience managing creators/influencers or student communities is a plus - Strong execution mindset: can plan + deliver fast - Comfortable using tools like: - Google Sheets/Excel - Notion/Airtable - WhatsApp/Telegram/Discord - basic analytics dashboards - Ability to handle moderation and conflict resolution maturelyKey Traits We’re Looking For- Energetic, proactive, and highly organized - Deep understanding of creator + youth ecosystem - Comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch - Creative thinker with strong operational discipline - Empathetic and community-first mindset
