Our expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, positioning us as a key player in global trade and logistics.Job Purpose:The Application Lead is responsible for leading the full lifecycle of application design, development, implementation, and adoption, ensuring alignment with marine business goals. Role leads the Architecture Review Board (ARB) process to maintain scalable and secure designs. The role includes managing user onboarding, training, and change management for smooth rollouts. The role handles vendor engagement and procurement workflows like NFA, PR, and PO. Customization governance across domestic and international entities ensures strategic consistency. The lead ensures compliance with global data privacy and security standards. The lead manages data migration to centralized platforms like Data Lake or Databricks. Incident and change management are handled globally to minimize disruptions. End-user support is provided across geographies, with continuous improvement driven by feedback. Collaboration with IT and business teams ensures localized solutions and integration of processesKey Responsibilities of RoleApplication Design, Development, Implementation & Adoption Lead the end-to-end Journey from design of the application to implementation, from requirements gathering to go-live, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Ensure new applications are designed with scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture. Lead the end-to-end Architecture Review Board (ARB) process for all new applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT standards and marine business requirements. Develop and execute user onboarding, training, and change management plans to maximize adoption and value realization. Act as the primary point of contact for end users during new application rollouts, addressing concerns and facilitating smooth transitions. Obtain commercial offers from developers and lead the NFA (Need for Approval), PR (Purchase Request), and PO (Purchase Order) process. Customization Governance Across Marine Entities Define and enforce customization boundaries across domestic and international marine entities, balancing local needs with the central macro view of the Marine business. Ensure customizations are documented, approved, and do not compromise system integrity or strategic alignment. Advanced Compliance & Security Ensure applications comply with both domestic and international data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, local IT laws, ISO). Engage with legal and compliance teams to address cross-border data transfer and residency issues. Data Migration to Central IT Environment Lead systematic migration of application data from domestic & international locations to centralized platforms such as Data Lake or Databricks, ensuring compliance with Adani Group’s IT architecture and data governance policies. Global Incident & Change Management Manage incident response and change management processes for applications used in multiple countries, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Manage global rollouts, upgrades, and hotfixes, considering time zones, business calendars, and local regulations. End User Support (EUS) for Existing Applications Provide comprehensive end user support for all current applications, ensuring high user satisfaction and timely resolution of issues. Engage with third party support teams to address user queries, incidents, and service requests across domestic and international business units. Monitor user feedback and usage patterns to drive continuous improvement in application usability and performance. Monitor and optimize application performance for users in different geographies, addressing latency, uptime, and support challenges unique to each region. Vendors & Partners Engagement Engage with domestic and international vendors and partners for application roll-out, enhancements, compliance and support. Negotiate SLAs and manage escalations across multiple time zones. Ensure vendor deliverables, accountability and performance; manage day-to-day issue resolution post go-live and ensure SLA adherence throughout the application lifecycle. International & Domestic Business Process Integration Develop a deep understanding of business processes, regulations, and user requirements across multiple countries and regions. Cross-Border Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with stakeholders from diverse cultural and business backgrounds, gathering requirements and delivering solutions tailored to each market. Facilitate workshops, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training sessions for both domestic and international user groups. Deliver localization & customization of applications, including multi-language support, regional compliance, and integration with local third-party services. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify opportunities to harmonize and standardize application processes globally, while allowing for necessary local adaptations. Stay updated on global technology trends and recommend adoption of best practices across regions. Collaboration with Database & Infra Teams Work closely with third-party database management team and internal IT infrastructure teams throughout the application lifecycle to ensure performance, scalability, and compliance with enterprise standards. Span of Control: Current State: Managing approximately 10+ large / medium sized applications and 18+ dashboards. Future State: Expected to oversee 15+ applications and 25+ dashboards. While the Application Lead does not directly manage or develop the dashboards, they are responsible for providing all necessary data inputs and support required for dashboards built on top of application data.Qualifications and ExperienceMCA or BE/BTech in Computer Science Minimum 7-10 Years in application management
