Job Description

The Head – Accounts Receivable will be responsible for end-to-end receivables management of Rs 350 Cr across 12 hospitals, with a sharp focus on DSO control, cash collections, billing accuracy, and reduction of disallowances and bad debts. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination with hospital units, payers (TPA, Insurance, Govt), billing teams, and clinical stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Receivables & DSO ManagementOwn and manage hospital receivables across Cash, TPA, Insurance & Government payersDrive DSO improvement initiatives and ensure sustained controlMonitor ageing buckets and ensure timely resolution of overdue receivablesLead focused recovery plans for long-pending and disputed casesPayer Liaison & Follow-upsAct as a senior interface with TPAs, Insurance companies, and Government authoritiesDrive escalations, negotiations, and closures for high-value pending claimsRegular travel to hospital locations and payer offices as requiredBilling Accuracy & TAT ControlWork closely with Billing, Medical Records, and Operations teamsEnsure accurate and complete submissions within defined TATIdentify gaps in documentation, coding, and submission processesProcess & ControlsEstablish and enforce standard AR and billing processes across hospitalsTrack and reduce disallowances, deductions, and claim rejectionsDrive continuous improvement to reduce bad debts and write-offsEnsure compliance with internal controls and audit requirementsReporting & GovernancePublish weekly/monthly AR dashboards (DSO, ageing, collections, disallowances)Provide actionable insights to hospital CEOs and corporate leadershipLead AR reviews with unit finance and operations teamsCandidate ProfileExperience10–15+ years in AR / Revenue Cycle / Collections, preferably in large hospital chainsExperience managing ₹250–500 Cr+ receivables across multiple locationsStrong exposure to TPA, Insurance, and Govt payer ecosystemsSkills & CompetenciesStrong command over DSO management, ageing analysis, and recovery strategiesDeep understanding of hospital billing, claims, and documentation workflowsAbility to travel extensively and work with distributed teamsData-driven, process-oriented, and execution-focusedStrong stakeholder management and escalation handling skillsMindsetOwnership-driven, hands-on, and outcome-focusedComfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
