Job Title

We are seeking an experienced L3 Backup & Recovery Specialist with deep expertise in Commvault also supporting enterprise backup operations in AWS environments. The ideal candidate will also possess working knowledge of NetBackup as a secondary skillset. This role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, solution design, and operational excellence in backup and recovery services for mission-critical workloads. In addition, has accountability for ensuring data integrity, and providing detailed documentation of operational procedures.- - Lead and manage complex backup and recovery operations using Commvault in AWS cloud environments - .Provide L3-level support, including root cause analysis, performance optimization, and resolution of escalated incidents - .Integrate and optimize Commvault solutions with AWS native services (e.g., S3, EC2, RDS, Glacier) - .Support NetBackup environments as a secondary skillset, including configuration, monitoring, and incident resolution - .Ability to build and design backup infrastructure - .Ability to manage multiple tape libraries of backup infrastructure - .Understands and has excellent knowledge and skills to trouble shoot backup issues, tape issues, and storage issues - .Needs to be proficient in backup schedules and policies - .Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance - .Participate in audits, DR drills, and capacity planning activities - .Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance as needed - .Must thoroughly understand Commvault through command line and GUI - .Must understand Linux and Windows commands and understand how to troubleshoot backup issues on both windows servers, and Linux servers - .Must follow established company processes, including change management, incident management, and problem management processes - .Must have experience with automating backup processes, as well as using Commvault Workflows - .Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills - .Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situationsMust to have Skill:Experience in Commvault L3 level – 5 plus yeaExperience in netbackup – L2 level experienceExperience in AWS - L2 levScripting knowledge
