Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead the technologyvision and architecture of UniSouk, a next-generation e-commerce platform. The CTOwill be responsible for building and scaling the technology infrastructure,establishing engineering best practices, and driving innovation across the platform.Key Responsibilities● Design and oversee the development of scalable, robust technologyarchitecture for UniSouk's e-commerce platform● Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture oftechnical excellence● Define a technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and marketdemands● Establish coding standards, development practices, and deploymentprocedures● Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and frameworks to maintain acompetitive advantage● Lead technical due diligence and vendor management for third-partyintegrations● Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organisation● Oversee system security, data protection, and compliance with industrystandards● Partner with Product and Business teams to translate requirements intotechnical solutions● Manage technology budget and optimise infrastructure costsRequired QualificationsRequirements & Good to have:● 10+ years of software development and technology leadership experience● Minimum 5+ years in a CTO or VP Engineering role at a growth-stagecompany● Proven experience building scalable e-commerce or marketplace platforms● Strong background in cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure)● Expert-level knowledge of backend systems, databases, and microservicesarchitecture● Experience with modern tech stacks and full-stack development principles● Track record of building high-performing engineering teams (20+ members)● Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelinesPreferred Qualifications● Experience with AI/ML integration in e-commerce systems● Background in supply chain technology or logistics platforms● Experience scaling infrastructure for high-traffic platforms (millions of dailyactive users)● Familiarity with the Indian e-commerce ecosystem and regulations● Previous startup or scale-up experienceCompensation & Benefits● Competitive salary package● Substantial ESOP grants (subject to vesting schedule)● Health insurance and wellness benefits● Flexible work arrangements● Professional development budget● Founding team equity considerations based on contributionEvaluation Criteria● Relevant experience and domain expertise in e-commerce technology● Track record of success in similar CTO/VP Engineering roles● Cultural fit and alignment with startup values● Ability to operate in ambiguous environments● Track record of team building and technical leadership● Demonstrated impact on scaling organisationsTerms & Conditions● ESOP package subject to vesting schedule● The employment contract will detail confidentiality, IP ownership, andnon-compete clauses● Background verification will be conducted
