Job Description

The Marketplace Specialist will be responsible for managing and scaling the brand’s presence on Amazon. This role owns the complete Amazon ecosystem—from catalogue creation and SEO optimisation to PPC performance, FBA inventory planning, pricing strategy, promotions, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate understands how Amazon works operationally and algorithmically and can balance growth with profitability. Experience with quick commerce platforms will be an added advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesAmazon Account & Catalogue Management:-• Manage end-to-end Amazon Seller Central operations (India &/or global marketplaces if applicable).• Create, optimise, and maintain product listings including titles, bullets, descriptions, backend keywords, and A+ content.• Handle catalogue issues such as listing suppressions, variations, stranded inventory, ASIN merges/splits, and policy compliance.• Manage brand registry, trademark-related issues, and resolve strikes, suspensions, and warning notices.Amazon SEO & Content Optimisation:-• Conduct keyword research and optimise listings for Amazon SEO and discoverability.• Improve organic ranking through content optimisation, CTR improvement, and conversion rate optimisation.• Coordinate or execute A+ Content, Brand Story, and image optimisation for higher conversion.• Monitor competitor listings and adapt content strategies accordingly.PPC & Advertising Management:-• Plan, execute, and optimise Amazon Ads including:○ Sponsored Products○ Sponsored Brands○ Sponsored Display• Manage auto, manual, keyword, product targeting, and competitor campaigns.• Track and optimise key metrics: ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CTR, CVR, and overall ad efficiency.• Conduct search term mining, negative keyword optimisation, bid optimisation, and budget allocation.• Align PPC strategy with inventory, pricing, and promotional calendars.Inventory & FBA Management:-• Plan and manage FBA inventory to avoid stockouts, overstocking, and long-term storage fees.• Monitor sell-through rates, restock limits, and inbound shipment performance.• Coordinate with internal supply chain or warehouse teams for replenishment planning.• Manage stranded, damaged, and excess inventory effectively.Pricing, Promotions & Growth Strategy• Develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with margins and competition.• Plan and manage Amazon promotions including:○ Coupons○ Lightning Deals○ Prime Exclusive Deals○ Buy One Get One / Quantity Discounts• Support seasonal events (Great Indian Festival, Prime Day, etc.) with inventory, pricing, and ad planning.• Identify opportunities for new product launches, bundles, and cross-selling.Coordination & Reporting:-• Work closely with content, design, operations, and finance teams.• Coordinate with agencies or freelancers (if applicable) for ads, creatives, or content.• Act as the single point of ownership for all Amazon-related initiatives.Required Skills & Experience:-• 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing Amazon Seller Central.• Strong expertise in Amazon PPC and performance optimisation.• In-depth understanding of Amazon SEO, ranking factors, and conversion drivers.• Experience handling catalogue issues, policy violations, and seller support cases.• Solid understanding of FBA operations, inventory planning, and cost structures.• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting skills.Preferred Qualifications:-• Experience managing brands in FMCG, food, or consumer products.• Exposure to Amazon Brand Registry, A+ Content, and Storefronts.• Knowledge of external tools (Helium 10, Jungle Scout, DataDive, etc.) is a plus.What We’re Looking For:-• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach.• Comfortable managing multiple platforms.• Problem-solving mindset.• Willingness to learn and grow with the brand.
