The Technical Director of Engineering leads and grows Foodsmart’s India-based engineering hub, with accountability for delivery, quality, and engineering culture. You are a senior technical leader with deep experience scaling teams, shipping complex systems, and partnering across global product and technology groups.You will:- Lead and scale high-performing engineering teams across multiple domains in India - Own delivery of engineering outcomes, including quality, reliability, and release cadence - Partner closely with Product, Design, and Global Engineering leaders to align priorities - Implement and improve SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, QA, and DevOps practices - Build a strong engineering culture focused on accountability, learning, and executionYou are:- Leading with clarity, consistency, and high expectations - Coaching managers and senior engineers to grow their impact - Driving alignment across geographies and time zones - Holding teams accountable to measurable delivery and quality goals - Communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholdersYou have:- 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles. - Proven experience leading AI-assisted product and engineering workflows across the full SDLC, enabling faster design, PRD creation, story breakdown, code development, testing, and DevOps execution while maintaining enterprise-quality, security, and compliance standards. - Demonstrated ability to build AI-first engineering cultures, establishing guardrails, governance, and enablement so designers, product managers, engineers, and DevOps teams effectively use AI as a productivity multiplier aligned with business outcomes. - Hands-on background with Typescript, Node.js, React/Angular, cloud-native architectures (GCP/AWS). - Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, QA automation, and DevOps practices. - Demonstrated ability to manage distributed engineering teams and collaborate globally. - Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and delivering mission-critical software products. - Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills. - Passion for Foodsmart’s mission of transforming nutrition and healthcare.
