Job Title

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer (Protection and Relay Commissioning) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible lead the team on designing of medium voltage power systems, secondary schematic design, relay selection, configuration, and testing. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on experience, and the ability to support projects from design through commissioning.Key Responsibilities:- Design complete protection schemes for Medium Voltage (MV) power systems, including feeders, transformers, generators, and switchgear. - Develop secondary system schematics based on project requirements and applicable standards. - Select appropriate protection relays according to system studies and project specifications. - Perform configuration, parameter setting, and commissioning of protection relays. - Execute testing of protection relays, including functional testing, secondary injection, and commissioning tests. - Select and specify Current Transformers (CTs) and Voltage Transformers (VTs) based on protection and metering requirements. - Ensure full compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) and client specifications. - Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and protection philosophies. - Support troubleshooting and fault analysis during commissioning and operation. - Travel to project sites when required for testing, commissioning, or technical support. - Collaborate closely with project managers, primary engineers, and commissioning teams.Required Qualifications & Skills:- Strong expertise in power system protection concepts and applications. - Proven experience in Medium Voltage protection and secondary design. - Excellent knowledge of protection relay technologies and manufacturers. - Hands-on experience with relay testing and commissioning. - Solid understanding of CT and VT selection and sizing. - Full proficiency in schematic design software, including: - EPLAN - AutoCAD - Experience with Elecdes is considered a strong advantage. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions. - Willingness and flexibility to travel to project sites when required. - Fluent in English (spoken and written).
