Location:Noida / Bengaluru (On-site) Type:Full-Time Experience:B.Tech with 2+ years of experience (Electrical / EEE / Avionics)⚡ About the Role AtTelebortiX , we are building heavy-lift, long-range autonomous platforms powered by advanced hybrid-electric propulsion. We are moving beyond standard battery drones and entering the domain ofHigh-Voltage (800V) Hybrid Aviation. We are looking for aPower Electronics Engineerto own the electrical "heart" of our UAV. You will be responsible for designing the power architecture that bridges our combustion engines (Turboshaft/ICE) with our electric drivetrain, ensuring safe, efficient power delivery to everything from high-power motors to sensitive avionics.Core Responsibilities1. High Voltage (800V) Architecture & PDU Design Design and develop thePower Distribution Unit (PDU)to manage and distribute 800V power across the aircraft. Develop high-efficiencyDC-DC Convertermodules to step down High Voltage (HV) to Low Voltage (LV) for avionics (24V/12V/5V), servos, and computing units. Implement safety mechanisms for HV systems, includingIsolation Monitoring , pre-charge circuits, and HV interlocks (HVIL).2. Simulation & Analysis (Thermal & ESD) PerformThermal Simulation and Analysisfor high-power components (IGBTs/MOSFETs) to design effective cooling solutions (heatsinks/liquid cooling). ConductESD (Electrostatic Discharge) analysisand implement protection circuits to safeguard sensitive avionics in flight environments. RunSPICE simulations(LTSpice / PSpice) to validate circuit behavior, transient response, and stability before PCB fabrication.3. Hybrid Powertrain Integration Lead the electrical integration of theGenerator Control Unit (GCU) , coupling the mechanical output of the engine to the electrical battery/bus system. Design and validateActive Rectificationcircuits to convert AC generator output to stable DC for the high-voltage bus. Work closely with theBattery Management System (BMS)to optimize charging/discharging cycles during hybrid flight operations.4. Board-Level Design & Driver Development Design and test custom PCBs and drivers for critical sub-systems: Actuator Drivers:For flight control surfaces and heavy-lift servos. Thermal Management:Drivers for cooling loops, pumps, and fans. Sensor Interfaces:Signal conditioning circuits for powertrain sensors.5. Wiring, Harnessing & Communication Design robust wiring harnesses and communication gantries (power & data cabling). EnsureSignal Integrityfor communication buses (CAN, RS485, Ethernet) running alongside high-power switching noise. ImplementEMI/EMC mitigation techniques(shielding, filtering, grounding) to protect sensitive avionics.✅ Required Skills & Qualifications Education:B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with2+ years of hands-on experience . Circuit Simulation:Proficiency inLTSpice, PSpice, or MATLAB/Simulinkfor power circuit modeling. PCB Design:Proficiency inAltium, KiCad, or Eagle(experience with high-voltage clearance/creepage rules is a plus). Thermal & EMC:Understanding ofthermal management(heatsink sizing) andEMI/ESD protectiondesign. Power Electronics:Strong understanding of Buck/Boost converters, Inverters, Rectifiers, and Gate Drive circuits. Testing:Hands-on experience with Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, and Thermal Chambers.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Experience withAnsys (IcePak/Maxwell)or similar tools for detailed thermal/magnetic simulation. Experience in theEV (Electric Vehicle) industryorUAV/Dronesector. Familiarity with High Voltage safety standards (ISO 26262 or similar). Why Join TelebortiX Work directly with a globally recognized founder & leadership team Be part of a high-growth deep-tech company Ownership and autonomy in shaping operations from the ground up Fast career growth as the company scales
