Experience: 1-5 years of equity research experience is ideal. But not mandatory if you have a genuine, demonstrated penchant for markets, businesses, and doing real work on stocks. What is it going to look like:Strong accounting foundation with demonstrable modelling skills; you should be comfortable building models from scratch.Bias for primary work: On-ground checks, speaking to ecosystem partners, and building your own mosaic instead of over-relying on street research.Comfort with being wrong and changing views when facts change; willingness to do honest post-mortems on ideas.Expect a research-heavy day: reading, modelling, channel checks, and writing, and not client-facing sales. This is a small-team environment: high ownership, low hierarchy, no hand-holding once expectations are clear. The bar for intellectual honesty and curiosity is high - thesis quality, depth of work, and willingness to debate matter more than years of experience.Qualifications: CA, CFA, or MBA is a plus, but not a prerequisite if you can demonstrate the right skillset.
