Senior Finance Executive | Chennai | Hands-On Ownership RoleWe are urgently seeking a highly disciplined Senior Finance Executive with complete ownership mindset to lead our finance function in ChennaiLocation: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (On-site)Experience: 8–14 years in core finance & accountsKey Preference: Prior experience in mid-size owner-driven / family-managed companies - where you took complete end-to-end ownership of finance (no heavy corporate support/handholding)This role suits you if…You are highly disciplined, process-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced, owner-driven environments where you own everything - from day-to-day transactions to final balance sheet sign-off.Core Responsibilities (Hands-On & Ownership-Driven):- Take complete ownership of balance sheet control - from basic accounting entries and reconciliations to full preparation, review, and finalization of standalone & consolidated balance sheets - Oversee end-to-end financial operations - including AR/AP, banking, statutory compliances, and monthly/quarterly closings - Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and dashboards for owner/senior management review - Drive aggressive cost control initiatives, identify savings opportunities, and implement measures to optimize expenses and working capital - Lead process improvements across finance & accounts - eliminate bottlenecks, implement best practices, and ensure strong internal controls - Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders for seamless compliance and auditsMust-Have Requirements:- 8+ years of strong hands-on experience in finance & accounts with proven track record of complete ownership in mid-size or owner-driven setups - you must have independently handled full-cycle accounting to balance sheet finalization - Deep expertise in Indian GAAP/Ind AS, direct/indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and statutory filings - Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP must) and Excel (macros, pivot tables, advanced functions) - Strong analytical skills with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach; ability to work under tight deadlines with zero tolerance for errors - Highly preferred: Fluent in Malayalam (speaking & understanding) for effective stakeholder coordination
