Design and optimizeexpression vectors , including promoters, regulatory elements, UTRs, signal peptides, and fusion tags. Conductcodon optimization and mRNA-level analysis(GC content, secondary structure, translation efficiency). Predict and evaluateprotein folding, solubility, aggregation risk, stability, and complexity . Applyprotein structure modelling and interpretation(e.g., AlphaFold-based insights) to guide expression strategy. UtilizeAI/ML-based toolsfor protein expression prediction and structure–function analysis. Extract, curate, and analyse data from biological databases to optimize construct and host selection. Integrate sequence, structure, and expression data to generateactionable recommendations . Collaborate withmolecular biology, upstream cell culture, and downstream purification teamson design and troubleshooting. Prepareclear technical reports, summaries, and presentationsfor project and management review.Required Qualifications Master’s degreein Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or related field withminimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience OR PhDin Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Life Sciences withminimum 2 years of applied industry or post-doctoral experience Demonstrated experience inprotein expression–focused bioinformatics .Core Capabilities & Technical Expertise DNA and RNA sequence analysis forrecombinant protein expression . Codon optimizationandmRNA secondary structure analysisto improve translation efficiency. Expressionvector designaligned with insect cell and BEVS requirements. Comparativesequence alignment and homology analysis . Assessment ofprotein folding, solubility, aggregation, and stabilityfrom sequence and structural data. Interpretation ofprotein structure predictions(AlphaFold, homology models). Understanding ofstructure–expression–function relationships . Integration of data fromNCBI, UniProt, PDB, KEGG , and expression repositories. Comparative analysis acrosssequence, structure, and expression datasets . Familiarity withAI/ML approachesin protein engineering and expression prediction. Proficiency withsequence analysis and alignment tools(BLAST, Clustal Omega, MUSCLE, MAFFT). Hands-on use ofprotein analysis and visualization tools(PyMOL, Chimera). Experience withprotein feature prediction tools(ExPASy, ProtParam, SignalP, TMHMM). Working knowledge ofPython, R, or scriptingfor bioinformatics workflows and data analysis. Exposure tocommercial or open-source protein expression prediction platformsand modelling tools. Stronganalytical thinking and scientific problem-solvingability. Ability to workindependently and cross-functionallyin a startup R&D environment.
