Job Title: Manager / Executive – Incubation, Start-ups & EntrepreneurshipDepartment: Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) / Incubation CentreLocation: DBS Global University, DehradunRole OverviewWe are looking for a passionate and entrepreneurial professional to drive the university’s Incubation & Start-up ecosystem while also teaching and mentoring students in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Start-up Development.The role blends academic engagement, start-up ecosystem building, and operational leadership, making it ideal for candidates eager to shape future entrepreneurs.Key ResponsibilitiesA. Incubation & Start-up Ecosystem Development- Manage daily operations of the Incubation & Start-up Cell. - Identify, onboard, and support student-led and faculty-led start-ups. - Design and implement structured programs for ideation, validation, acceleration, and commercialization. - Build partnerships with industry, investors, accelerators, government bodies, and funding agencies. - Organize innovation events: hackathons, pitch days, start-up bootcamps, demo days, and mentoring sessions.B. Teaching & Student Engagement- Teach and facilitate courses/workshops on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business Models, and Start-up Management. - Mentor students on business planning, market validation, pitch deck creation, and investor readiness. - Promote entrepreneurship culture across all academic departments. - Guide student teams in national and international start-up competitions and grant programs.C. Funding, Grants & Growth- Identify and apply for government & private incubation grants. - Support start-ups in fundraising and investor interactions. - Track performance indicators: number of start-ups incubated, funds raised, partnerships created, student ventures launched, and success stories.Eligibility Criteria- MBA (Mandatory) — preferably in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, or Operations. - 2–3 years of relevant working experience in start-ups, incubation centers, accelerators, innovation labs, venture development, or entrepreneurship programs. - Prior exposure to start-up ecosystem, business development, or entrepreneurial mentoring is highly desirable.Key Skills & Competencies- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with execution capability. - Excellent communication and presentation skills (classroom + industry). - Networking and relationship management with multiple stakeholders. - Ability to mentor, guide, and inspire young entrepreneurs. - Structured program management and project execution skills.Why This Role?- Opportunity to build and scale the university’s flagship start-up ecosystem. - High-impact position shaping student careers and institutional innovation culture. - Direct interaction with leadership, industry, investors, and entrepreneurs.
