Job Description

The Role We are looking for a Sports Performance Data Analyst to join Inspire Institute of Sport, with a passion and expertise in Sports Performance Data. You will be responsible for working closely with Head Coaches, and the Sports Science Department and making your mark in a world-class performance environment. This is your opportunity to directly impact the success of elite athletes in India through applied Sports Performance Data.Key Responsibilities: · Assist with managing the development and implementation of IIS’s Performance Data Strategy that addresses the needs of coaches, practitioners and the wider performance directorate. · Assist with continually improving data processes across the data lifecycle, specifically how data is collected, cleansed, stored, integrated, and visualised. · Use appropriate tools to efficiently retrieve, manipulate and report sport performance data collaboration across the Performance Support Teams. · Support the wider team with the development of a statistically valid and robust Performance Matrix. · Support the wider team with the deployment of software and database development of our existing systems and infrastructure. · Support appropriate use and management of the athlete database system currently being used at the Inspire Institute of Sport. · Meticulously review and validate data entries from diverse sources to ensure high accuracy of data and reporting.Qualifications and Requirements: · Degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics) or a practitioner with a proven interest in building a career in data science Essential · Experience of working in sport · Experience in manipulation, cleansing and joining of datasets · Interest in sport and curiosity to learn about combat sports, athletics and swimming as part of the role · Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team · Ability to work independently, prioritise own workload, and balance conflicting demands and tight deadlines
