Role OverviewFunction: FinanceReporting to: Lead Finance ControllerTeam Size: 4–6 membersAs Manager – Finance Controllership (Retail BU), you will own end-to-end finance controllership for the business unit, ensuring strong governance, compliance, scalability, and financial discipline to support rapid growth.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Controllership & BU Ownership- Own BU-level profitability, internal controls, and financial governance in partnership with the BU Head - Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant accounting across all operations - Enable decision-making through high-quality financial insights focused on growth, capital efficiency, and cash management - Build scalable finance processes and systems to support business expansionFinancial Accounting & Reporting- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close as per finance calendar - Ensure compliance with applicable GAAP, Companies Act, 2013, and internal policies - Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies and proceduresTax & Regulatory Compliance- Ensure compliance with Withholding Tax, GST, FEMA, and other applicable state and central regulations - Manage ongoing tax assessments and regulatory requirementsInternal Controls- Design, implement, and operate robust internal control frameworks, including manual and system-driven controlsYear-End Close & Audit- Lead annual financial closure and preparation of financial statements - Manage statutory audits and coordination with Big 4 audit firmsStakeholder Management- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams - Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, regulatory authorities - Coordinate with customers, e-commerce aggregators, and payment gateway finance teamsTechnology & Systems- Provide inputs and support development/enhancement of in-house ERP and finance systemsEligibility & Skill RequirementsEducation- Chartered Accountant (CA)Experience- 6–7 years of post-qualification experienceTechnical Expertise- Strong hands-on experience in accounting under IGAAP and Companies Act, 2013 - In-depth knowledge of GST, Withholding Tax, FEMA, and corporate laws - Experience in month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations - Exposure to B2C businesses and e-commerce aggregators preferred - Experience managing Big 4 audit firms - Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/process design skillsBehavioral Competencies- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset - Experience managing teams of 4–6 members - Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines - Excellent stakeholder management skills
