Purpose of the JobWe are looking for a System Administrator responsible for configuration and maintenance of computer systems for Eruvaka. The role usually sits within the IT department but works closely with a number of teams throughout the business to ensure unified performance and operation.Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware - Manage/troubleshoot systems, network servers and technology tools - Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls - Asset and Mail service management - Office 365 management - Network management of LAN, WAN & SDWAN. - Optimize processes and lead process improvement - Ensure systems are secure and protected from breach or viruses - Create automation tools / scripts for system administration activities - Ensure alignment to Corporate IT rules and guidelines - Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies - Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely - Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups - Analyze service and tool needs, evaluate systems, identify gaps, and suggest solutions for efficiency and scalability. - Track IT inventory (hardware, software, licenses) and manage procurement and disposal processes. - Lead IT initiatives with project management skills to enhance operations and collaboration. - Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR). - Disaster recovery planning & implementation to ensure business continuity during system failures or data loss - Conduct regular audits on IT inventory, systems, and backups to ensure compliance and security. - Ensure governance of IT processes, ensuring adherence to policies, standards, and best practices. - Project management skills (or familiarity with project management tools) to lead IT-related initiatives, which can improve IT operations and collaboration. - Training staff on the use of new technology and offering support as needed - Provide IT Support to all the employees following SLAs.Qualification, Experience and Skills required:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience - Minimum 5 years’ experience as System Administrator - Professional Certifications (ITIL and MCSA are plus) - Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role - Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management - Experience with the hardware- FortiGate Firewalls, Switches, Access Points. - Experience with project management tools- ServiceNow, Clickup, ERP System (Odoo) - Vendor Management – Hardware, software, Services and ISP services - Expert-level knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery - Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other languages - Ability to create PowerBI dashboards. - Power Shell, VB Script, Java Scripting is a plus. - Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms - Problem-solving attitude, resourcefulness, and exceptional communication skillsAbility to take quick decisions while working independently
