We are seeking a highly skilled U.S. Tax professional based in India with strong experience in U.S. Federal, State, and Local taxation, including Texas-specific tax matters. The role requires hands-on expertise in corporate tax compliance (including withholding tax), state and local taxes, property and land taxes, transfer pricing, and tax planning, supporting U.S. based entities and stakeholders.The candidate should have experience working on U.S. clients, CPA firms, or multinational corporations and should be comfortable handling complex tax issues across multiple jurisdictions in US, with a special focus on Texas.Key ResponsibilitiesU.S. Federal Tax- Prepare, review, and support U.S. Federal tax returns (Forms 1120, 5472, 1042, 1099 etc.) - Assist with tax provisions (ASC 740), deferred tax calculations, and true-ups - Research U.S. federal tax regulations and provide technical guidance - Support IRS audits, notices, and correspondenceState & Local Tax- Handle multi-state tax compliance and filings - Expertise in Texas Franchise Tax, including margin tax calculations - Manage Texas Sales & use tax requirements and compliances - Coordinate filings for other key states as required.Property, Land & Local Taxes- Support property tax and land tax compliance - Review property tax valuations and liaise with local authorities and consultants - Assist in planning and optimization of property tax exposureTransfer Pricing- Coordinate with global teams and external advisors on TP compliance - Support transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking studies, and intercompany pricing models - Assist with U.S. transfer pricing audits and inquiriesAdvisory & Planning- Provide tax planning support for U.S. expansions, restructurings, and intercompany transactions - Advise on Texas-specific tax incentives, credits, and compliance requirements - Monitor changes in U.S. and Texas tax laws and assess business impactStakeholder & Process Management- Work closely with U.S./ UAE based teams, controllers, and external CPA firms - Ensure timely compliance with U.S. deadlines despite time-zone differences - Improve tax processes, documentation, and internal controlsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation - CPA, EA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred - Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal and State tax laws - Hands-on experience with Texas Franchise Tax and State & Local Taxes in US - Ability to research U.S. tax issues and appraise the management for any changes.
