The role focuses on developing long-term business strategies, strengthening market presence, forging partnerships, and leading cross-functional initiatives that accelerate organizational growth. The leader will oversee portfolio expansion, new service lines, digital transformation initiatives, and profitability improvement across telecom operations.Responsibilities-1. Business Strategy & Planning- Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the telecom division, aligned with organizational goals. - Identify new markets, business models, and growth opportunities through market research and competitive analysis. - Lead strategic planning cycles, business forecasting, and roadmap development. - Drive transformation programs focused on innovation, operational efficiency, and customer experience improvement.2. Revenue & Market Growth (RMSI Focus)- Own the revenue targets for the telecom business and drive revenue maximization initiatives. - Create go-to-market strategies for new solutions, products, and service offerings. - Expand customer base through strategic partnerships, alliances, and enterprise accounts. - Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across telecom sectors—Fiber, Wireless, 5G, IoT, Cloud, and related services.3. Customer & Stakeholder Management- Build strong customer relationships across CXO and senior leadership levels. - Identify customer needs and design solutions that improve value delivery and customer satisfaction. - Ensure high-quality service delivery through cross-functional collaboration with operations and technology teams.4. Product & Solutions Leadership- Lead the development and enhancement of telecom solutions including network planning, GIS-led services, digital infrastructure, and analytics offerings. - Drive innovation initiatives and adopt emerging technologies to enhance competitiveness. - Oversee product lifecycle management, positioning, pricing, and performance.5. Team Leadership & Organizational Development- Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing business, strategy, and sales teams. - Foster a culture of performance excellence, accountability, and customer-centricity. - Enable cross-functional alignment across delivery, technology, finance, and marketing teams.Skills & Qualification-- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science) or equivalent. MBA is a plus. - Demonstrated track record of achieving business growth and driving large-scale strategic initiatives. - 12-20 years (depending on level of seniority) of experience in telecom domain — ideally experience selling/leading services to telecom operators or network vendors. - Strong understanding of telecom networks (fixed broadband, fibre, FTTx, HFC, mobile / 4G/5G), GIS/engineering services (design, planning, mapping), digital transformation for telcos. RMSI’s offerings include network planning & design, GIS, geo-data, so domain knowledge of those is valuable. - Excellent business development, client relationship, proposal & negotiation skills. Comfort engaging C-level / VP‐level telecom operators or infrastructure vendors. - Ability to think strategically and execute tactically — translate vision into business plans and operational outcomes. - Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to work cross-functionally. Results‐driven, innovative, and comfortable with a fast‐changing telecom landscape. - Willing to travel internationally (if role has global/regional scope).
