Job Description: PD CAD Engineer – Flow Setup & ImplementationExperience: 5 –10 YearsLocation: BangaloreRole: Physical Design CAD / EDA Flow EngineerResponsibilities:- Develop, maintain, and enhance Physical Design (PD) CAD flows for block-level and full-chip implementation. - Own flow setup for Synthesis, Floorplanning, Power Planning, PnR, CTS, Routing, and ECO stages. - Automate design flows using Tcl, Python, Shell scripting to improve productivity and reduce manual effort. - Integrate and support industry-standard EDA tools such as Synopsys Fusion Compiler, ICC2, Cadence Innovus, Genus, Tempus, Voltus etc. - Support PD teams with tool configurations, library setup, runset integration, and methodology guidance. - Debug flow issues related to timing, DRC, LVS, constraints, and extraction. - Manage technology file setup (LEF/DEF, Liberty, Tech files) and ensure correct version/environment control. - Work with cross-functional teams (RTL, STA, DFT, PV) to ensure smooth flow interoperability. - Evaluate new EDA tool features and create documentation, training materials, and release notes.Must-Have Skills:- Strong experience in PD CAD / EDA flow development. - Hands-on expertise in scripting: Tcl, Python, PERL, Shell. - Deep understanding of Physical Design flow from RTL to GDS. - Knowledge of tech file setup, constraints, libraries, PDKs. - Experience in debugging tool/flow issues.Good-to-Have Skills:- Exposure to cloud-based design environments (AWS/Azure). - Knowledge of version control systems: Git/Perforce. - Experience with STA sign-off tools (PrimeTime, Tempus). - Familiarity with DRC sign-off flows (Calibre).Education:- B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, VLSI, or related fields.
