Job Title

Key responsibilities:Freight Management:- Ensure vehicle availability as per plan and monitor inbound & outbound freight movements across India. - Plan and monitor export shipments (FCL, LCL, Air, Courier). - Coordinate with Transporters, CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely clearance and dispatch. - Ensure compliance with all DGFT, Customs, E-way bill, and port-related regulations and manage documentations for dispatch. - Optimize routes, loads, and utilization to reduce costs. - Track shipments, clearances, and proactively resolve delays or issues. - Track and improve freight KPIs (OTIF, transit time, cost per unit).Vendor Management:- Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with domestic transporters, CHA, and freight forwarders. - Evaluate and monitor vendor performance and compliance. - Ensure timely payments, documentation, and resolution of disputes.Cost & Performance Management:- Track domestic & Export freight costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-reduction initiatives. - Prepare and monitor freight budgets. - Drive initiatives for container consolidation and route optimization to reduce costs.Process Improvement:- Drive initiatives to improve TAT and reduce dwell times in domestic and export freight. - Implement tracking systems and dashboards for real-time monitoring. - Identify opportunities for digitization and automation in freight and Export operations.Competencies/skills- Domestic Freight Management. - Export Freight management - Vendor Management - Cost & Performance Management - In-depth knowledge of domestic freight and Export operations. - Understanding of INCOTERMS (international Commercial Terms), customs clearance, and shipping documentation. - Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
