You will design and optimizecontrol algorithms ,PWM generation , andclosed-loop DSP firmwarefor high-voltage converter systems, enabling efficient plasma control and spacecraft stability.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, develop, and maintainfirmware for TI C2000x DSPs(F2837xD, F28004x, etc.). Implement and tuneclosed-loop PID controlfor voltage and current regulation. Design and managePWM generation ,ADC/DAC configuration , andinterrupt-based control loops . Developbootloader firmwarefor modular and upgradable system architectures. Simulate and validate control algorithms usingMATLAB/Simulink . Integrate and test firmware withpower electronics hardware , performing real-time debugging and tuning. LeadHIL testing , firmware validation, and safety feature implementation. Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to ensure closed-loop stability and performance. Mentor junior engineers in firmware design, control algorithms, and system integration.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degreein Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or related field. Minimum 6years of hands-on experienceinembedded firmware developmentforpower electronics systems . Proven experience withTI C2000x DSPs(e.g., F2837xD, F28004x series) forreal-time control . Strong proficiency inembedded C/C++ ,Code Composer Studio , andbootloader development . Expertise inPWM generation ,ADC/DAC interfacing ,interrupt handling , andclosed-loop PID control . Solid foundation incontrol theory ,digital compensator design , andsignal processing . Ability to design and implementreal-time firmware architecturesfor converter control. Hands-on experience withMATLAB/Simulinkfor control simulation and validation. Excellent analytical, debugging, and hardware integration skills.Preferred ExperienceExperience withARM-based microcontrollersfor system-level coordination. Familiarity withFPGA-based PWM or protection logic(VHDL/Verilog). Experience withDC-DC converter control(buck, boost, resonant, full-bridge, or LLC). Hands-on experience inpower electronics hardware testing, validation, and debugging . Understanding offault protection ,telemetry , andsystem safety mechanisms . Exposure tohigh-voltage or aerospace-qualified electronic systems . Knowledge ofcommunication protocols(SPI, UART, I2C, CAN).
