From celebrity news to pop culture moments, Pinkvilla shapes how millions of Indians consume entertainment every day - through credible, engaging, and trend-led storytelling across formats.Pinkvilla is a Flipkart Group Company.Location: Mumbai / HybridExperience: 3–7 yearsEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Social Media Manager to build and scale the app’s social presence through high-impact organic content, trend-first storytelling, creator collaborations, and community-led distribution.This role will be responsible for driving reach, engagement, shareability, and organic installs by creating a strong brand voice and consistent content engine across platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Twitter/X, and more.Key Responsibilities1) Organic Social Growth (Core Ownership)- Own the organic growth strategy across key platforms: - Instagram (Reels + Stories) - YouTube Shorts - Twitter/X (community + conversations) - LinkedIn (if relevant to positioning) - Drive organic acquisition through content that delivers: - high reach - high shares/saves - strong click intent and installs - Build scalable content systems that grow consistently week-on-week.2) Social Content Strategy & Calendar- Build and manage a weekly/monthly content calendar aligned to: - app categories and discovery sections - trending formats - seasonal and cultural moments - key product launches and updates - Create repeatable content series and formats to drive consistency and recall. - Ensure a strong mix of: - trend-led content - original IP formats - community-first content - product-led content (without being “salesy”)3) Short-Form Video & Viral Storytelling- Own content creation and direction for short-form videos optimized for: - strong hooks in the first 1–2 seconds - high retention and completion - meme-ability and shareability - Work with editors/creative producers to create: - reels/shorts - cutdowns and remixes - reaction and commentary formats - fast snackable explainers4) Community Engagement & Social Listening- Actively engage with the audience through: - comments and replies - DMs and community conversations - interactive stories (polls, quizzes, Q&As) - Monitor community sentiment and trends and respond quickly. - Build two-way conversations to make the brand feel human and relatable.5) Creator & Collaboration-Led Social Growth- Collaborate with creators to produce high-performing content for social distribution. - Coordinate with the Community/Creator team to amplify: - creator-led trends - app moments - challenges and campaigns - Identify creators for: - collab posts - story takeovers - social-first series - meme and trend adaptations6) Social Performance Tracking & Reporting- Track content performance and growth metrics such as: - reach and impressions - engagement rate - shares/saves - follower growth - video watch time and completion rate - Use insights to iterate on formats and improve output quality. - Share weekly reports with actionable learnings.7) Brand Voice, Quality & Consistency- Build and maintain a strong, consistent brand tone across platforms. - Ensure content is: - visually consistent - aligned to brand guidelines - culturally relevant - safe and non-controversial - Coordinate with moderation and community teams when needed.Other Tasks- Build a “Trend Tracker + Hook Bank” for the brand - Create a social playbook including: - posting frequency guidelines - response templates - community engagement rules - best performing format library - Own social-first launches (feature drops, new categories, binge releases) - Coordinate with App team to optimize: - bio links / link-in-bio strategy - app store messaging alignment - UTM tracking and attribution (if available)Skills & Qualifications- 3–7 years experience in social media, content marketing, or organic growth - Strong understanding of: - Instagram and short-form video growth - internet culture and trends - creator ecosystems - community building through social - Strong writing skills (captions, scripts, comments, community tone) - Basic understanding of video editing workflows (to direct edits better) - Comfortable with tools like: - Meta Business Suite - YouTube Studio - Google Sheets - scheduling tools (optional)Preferred Candidate Traits- Trend-native and obsessed with what works on social - High output + fast execution - Creative with strong taste and attention to detail - Strong community instincts and communication - Data-aware and improvement-focused
