The role will focus on policy advocacy, advisory services, stakeholder engagement, research, and the design and delivery of training and capacity-building programs, Conferences positioning ASSOCHAM as a key catalyst for economic growth and the advancement of MSMEs and industry across the state.Key Responsibilities•Provide strategic leadership to the State Development Council to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem through sustained collaboration among members, MSMEs, industry leaders, and government institutions.•Manage and drive revenue generation activities to support council programs and initiatives.•Drive membership acquisition by identifying, engaging, and onboarding potential members from various sectors.•Ensure membership retention through regular engagement, value delivery, issue resolution, and proactive communication with existing members.•Lead policy advocacy initiatives by engaging senior government stakeholders to shape progressive, business-friendly state policies that enhance ease of doing business and drive economic growth.•Conceptualize, develop, and implement high-impact programs focused on capacity building, investment promotion, and sector-specific conferences.•Oversee the planning and execution of flagship events, workshops, and strategic campaigns that promote innovation and investment opportunities on national and global platforms.•Direct and coordinate cross-functional teams and strategic partnerships to ensure timely and effective delivery of Council priorities and initiatives.•Serve as the principal representative and spokesperson for ASSOCHAM at State level forums, strengthening the organization’s profile, credibility, and influence.•Establish governance, monitoring, and reporting frameworks to assess the impact of state-level initiatives, ensuring alignment with ASSOCHAM’s strategic objectives and government expectations.Education and Experience•Master’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Policy, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, or a closely related discipline.•10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in membership development, preferably within associations, industry bodies, or related organizations.•Demonstrated success in engaging and collaborating with government entities, industry associations, startups, and investor communities.•Strong experience in policy advocacy, ecosystem development, and the design and management of conferences, large-scale events, training initiatives, and accelerator programs.•Prior experience in a senior leadership role within industry associations, innovation hubs, startup councils, or similar institutions is highly advantageous.Skills (Soft and Functional)•Strategic Leadership: Ability to formulate and execute long-term strategies to build and sustain.•Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders including government officials, industry leaders, MSME’s, and entrepreneurs.•Policy Advocacy: Expertise in analysing, developing, and advocating for policies that support economic growth and ease of doing business.•Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent ASSOCHAM effectively and build networks.•Program Management: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and monitoring startup support programs such as incubation, mentorship, and funding initiatives.•Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage event-related expenditures, oversee sponsorship development and monetization processes, drive revenue generation, and ensure effective financial oversight of office operations and maintenance.•Innovation Mindset: Strategic leader with a strong grasp of emerging industry innovation trends, technology commercialization frameworks, and entrepreneurship ecosystems, enabling effective policy alignment, ecosystem development, and stakeholder-driven growth at the state level.•Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.•Networking: Strong ability to build partnerships and collaborations nationally and internationally.•Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams, councils, clusters, and leadership.IT Skills•Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document preparation, data analysis, and presentations.•Email and Calendar Management using MS Outlook or similar tools for scheduling and coordination.•Virtual Meeting Platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet) for webinars, meetings, and online events.•Online Research Skills to gather industry data, track policy updates, and prepare briefing notes.•Familiar with the use of Artificial Intelligence tools, including ChatGPT and similar platforms, for enhancing efficiency and communication.
