About 20 Downtown20 Downtown is a premium heritage banquet in Churchgate that hosts weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations.We’re known for our elegant architecture, warm hospitality, and seamless experiential flow — from the first enquiry to the last guest leaving happy.As we grow, we are strengthening our sales and client servicing team to ensure that from the point of enquiry to completion of the event, we have a single point of contact that can ensure a stellar client experience.Role OverviewThis role is the single point of ownership for revenue and client experience pre-event. You will manage enquiries, conduct venue walkthroughs, build proposals, handle negotiations within defined frameworks, and ensure every client interaction reflects the quality and standard of the 20 Downtown brand.This is not a passive coordination role. It is a front-line, revenue-impacting role with high accountability and visibility, and is critical to reducing founder involvement in sales and servicing.If you enjoy client-facing conversations, closing deals, bringing structure to chaos, and owning outcomes end-to-end, this role is a strong fit.Key Responsibilities1. Lead Management & Client ServicingBe the first point of contact for all inbound enquiries (calls, emails, WhatsApp, website, social)Respond promptly and professionally to all client queriesQualify leads and understand client requirements clearlyMaintain organised lead tracking and follow-up systemsEnsure no enquiry is missed or delayed2. Venue Walkthroughs & TastingsConduct venue visits and walkthroughs for potential clientsPresent the space, packages, and possibilities confidently and clearlyCoordinate and manage food tastings when requiredSet realistic expectations aligned with venue capabilities and brand standards3. Proposals, Pricing & NegotiationPrepare and share proposals based on defined packages and rate cardsHandle negotiations within approved pricing and discount frameworksClearly communicate inclusions, exclusions, timelines, and termsEnsure accuracy and consistency in all rates shared with clients4. Outbound sales and Corporate OutreachProactively identify and reach out to corporate clients, offices, agencies, and institutions in and around the Churchgate / South Mumbai areaPitch 20 Downtown for: Corporate meetings, workshops, townhalls, team lunches, breakfasts, and networking events.Build and maintain a pipeline of corporate prospectsSet up office visits and meetings with corporate offices in the vicinity.Track outreach efforts, responses, and conversions.Develop long-term relationships to drive long term corporate relationships and contracts.5. Conversion & Closure OwnershipDrive enquiries to conversion with structured follow-upsSecure confirmations, contracts, and advances as per processOwn the full sales funnel — enquiry → proposal → confirmationEnsure zero ambiguity at the point of closure6. Client Relationship ManagementAct as the client’s primary point of contact pre-eventBe available on event days as client liaison, and collaborate with the operations team to ensure excellent client serviceManage changes, queries, and updates professionallySupport issue resolution in coordination with Ops when required7. Reporting & Process DisciplineMaintain accurate records of enquiries, conversions, and lossesShare regular sales updates and pipeline reports with managementFlag recurring objections, pricing issues, or process gapsHelp refine sales SOPs, packages, and client communication as the business scalesRequirements2–5 years of experience in sales, client servicing, hospitality, or eventsStrong verbal and written communication skillsComfortable with client-facing roles and negotiationsHighly organised, reliable, and detail-orientedAble to work independently and take ownership of outcomesCalm under pressure with good judgmentExcel / Google Sheets proficiencyProficiency in making presentations and product packages.Comfortable working weekends or extended hours during peak periodsLocation20 Downtown, Churchgate, MumbaiTo ApplyEmail your CV to careers@
