The role supports origination, portfolio management, and funding activities, with a strong emphasis on engagement with external funders to ensure transactions, portfolios, and structures meet both internal credit standards and funder requirements. You will be working in a small team and supporting a globally diverse client base across multiple regions. Team members work independently while remaining open, communicative, and flexible, including the ability to negotiate working arrangements that support both individual and business needs.Key Responsibilities:Credit Risk Assessment & Structuring- Prepare credit submissions - Assess customer and group credit risk - Evaluate collateral and risk mitigants, with consideration of jurisdictional and enforce-ability factors - Provide clear risk recommendations, credit grading, approval conditions, and monitoring requirementsPortfolio Management & Monitoring- Manage and review portfolio - Conduct annual reviews and event-driven credit reassessments - Identify emerging risks, early warning indicators, and recommend proactive mitigation actionsFunder-Facing Responsibilities- Act as a key credit contact for external funding partners - Support various funding structures such as: - Sale of receivables - Structured and secured funding arrangements etc - Prepare funder-facing credit materials, including: - Term Sheets - Credit summaries and portfolio reports - Transaction-specific risk analyses - Responses to funder due diligence, credit questions, and information requests - Ensure alignment between internal credit approvals and funder credit criteria, covenants, and reporting obligations. - Support ongoing funder monitoring as required.Your Skills & Competencies:Regional & Cross-Border Expertise:Strong understanding of India, Malaysia and Thailand asset finance and credit markets, including:- Local business practices - Regulatory and legal environments - Practical considerations around security, enforcement, and recoveries - Experience in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore is viewed favorably, but not essentialStakeholder Engagement & Credit Governance:- Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and other teams across the transaction lifecycle. - Engage with customers to clarify financials, business models, and transaction structures as required. - Contribute to credit policy interpretation, enhancements, and governance initiatives. - Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior credit analysts.Key Requirements (Must)Experience- Credit approval authority up to €500k (or equivalent), or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in credit risk within asset finance, leasing, or corporate banking. - Proven experience assessing large entities and global customers. - Strong experience working in the Indian, Malaysia and Thailand markets. Prior exposure to the Australian, New Zealand, or Singaporean markets is a strong advantage. - Prior experience working with the sale of receivables is favourable but not essentialEducation- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field is required. Alternatively, extensive and relevant experience in the field will be considered. - Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent are advantageous but not essentialLanguage Skills- Fluency in English (written and verbal)Technical Skills- Advanced financial statement and cash flow analysis. - Strong understanding of asset-based lending and leasing risk drivers, including residual value risk. - Experience with cross-border group structures, guarantees, and multi-currency facilities. - Strong written credit articulation suitable for internal committees and funders. - Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.Personal Attributes- Strong credit judgement with a commercial mindset. - Confident engaging with funders and senior stakeholders. - Able to operate independently on complex and time-sensitive transactions. - High attention to detail and accountability for credit outcomes.Our commitment to Diversity and InclusionWe are proud to be a diverse and inclusive company that values and respects the differences among our employees.
