Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable backend systems, enjoys solving real-world problems, and takes ownership of their work. You will work closely with US-based engineering team through our outsourcing partner.Key Responsibilities • Design and develop high-performance REST APIs and backend services. • Implement server-side business logic for real-time and batch data processing. • Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL database schemas. • Build scalable distributed system architectures. • Work with Kafka and messaging systems for event-driven processing. • Deploy and maintain services on AWS cloud infrastructure. • Collaborate with product managers, firmware engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders. • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. • 4+ years of backend development experience using Java. • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns. • Experience building REST APIs and microservices. • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or Spring Framework. • Experience working with Kafka or distributed messaging systems. • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, ECS or Lambda. • Proficient with Git version control.Good to Have (Bonus Skills) • Experience working with IoT data pipelines. • Knowledge of WebSockets or real-time systems. • Experience with Docker and container-based deployments. • Database performance tuning experience. • Exposure to high-throughput distributed systems.What We Look For We value strong ownership, communication skills, problem-solving mindset, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced distributed environment.
